I am in need of some help. When I try to download I am occasionally getting a message that says, "rejected by tracker-share ratio violation; please raise your share ratio to 0.25 first." Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this? I am very new to all of this. Thanks!

You aren't getting that message from our tracker. We don't have any sort of ratio enforcement here. But, to raise your ratio, you simply keep your torrent window open after you complete your download. That allows others to download the data from you and increases your share ratio.

I'm not sure about the error you are receiving but to raise your share ratio you should open up one or two of your most recent downloads and continue to seed them until your ratio evens out. Your ratio is the series of numbers under your name (2.54 GB/1.68 GB/0.66) The idea is to upload at least as much as you download.

I'm sure a mod will be by soon to offer a better explanation...

The fastest way to raise your ratio is to upload something. Then every byte you upload goes towards your ratio, and not to offset a concurrent download.

if you are getting that error when running a TTD torrent, you may possibly have another tracker in the mix - a lot of modern torrent clients will allow multiple trackers, so that could be it.
