hi

a connection problem I think. I am downloading Paul McCartney 1990-04-01 Berkeley Concert 1990 (FLAC) (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=29798) and at them moment the web site says there are 14 seeders (utorrent says 14 as well) but I am only connected to one seeder and the download speed is around 2-3kps.

I am connectable according to the web site and according to uttorrent. I am also downoading the new beachboys torrent (13 out of 19 seeders and 26 out of 55 leechers) which is going just fine.

Is there a problem with me or the seeders or what?

puzzled.

i figured that firewall was the problem, but it was the large number of seeders which threw me.

oh well patience is a virtue.

Actually, it doesn't matter so much that they are firewalled, since because you are not firewalled, you may connect to all three of them. The problem is that all of them of them are trying to seed one million torrents each and thus the speed they are able to give to any of those torrents is barely anything.

^^ correct as usual. I saw all the firewalled seeders & guess I saw red.

checked my stuff - I dont have that show lbrow65, otherwise Id try and help you out.

also, the number of peer connections in their clients comes into play. If they are running 26 torrents at once, they are bound to max out the # of connections if it is left at the default (which most people do).

I just looked at the number of torrents the guys are seeding and it is huuuuuuuuuuge.

I have sent them each a nice email asking if they could just seed this one for a while.

I guess that is all I can do for the moment.

thanks for all the info

Sending a nice PM is what I have suggested to other users in similar situations. I wish people understood that it is better to just pick a handful (or less) of torrents to seed at any one moment.
