Has anyone come across a plug-in for Nero 8 to allow burning flac files direct to CD?

if you get the flac frontend installer it automatically adds that plugin.

Yes I thought so too.....but.
I had flac 1.1.4b. So I got the most recent version 1.2.1b and I get the following error message from Nero 8 when trying to add flac files.
One or more files could not be added to a compilation.
It may be possible, that the files can be added, if a dedicated plug-in is installed.

you need to have nero installed before you install the flac frontend. If you don't, it won't install it. I would uninstall Nero. Uninstall frontend. The install Nero, Install Flac. It will also give you the winamp plugin. Again it needs to be installed first.

OK so I uninstalled both. Restarted PC and re-installed Nero 8 then flac 1.2.1b.
Same error message. I suppose it just does not work with nero 8.
In Nero 8, try going to File/Options/Audio, hit options...see if the nxMyFLA.dll is there. If it is not there install it to the directory which you plugins are pointed to. The default is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\AudioPlugins\
Hope this helps.

In case anyone is still interested, or perhaps the moderators want to post it to a permanent sticky or something, here's the tools you need to follow the advice set forth in CBMC'S post above:

Now do I get a reward; like an increase in my ratio?
Kidding; sort of.
