View Full Version : Can I, and would I receive any benefit from joining the same torrent from two different tracker sites?

Specifically regarding the large Jimi Hendrix set. If I join both, will the info just be dumped into the same folder?

It depends on if the folder is named the exact same thing. Also, your download and/or upload speed is set by your ISP, so if you are already downloading/uploading at your max, joining a torrent at another site will not affect your speeds in anyway. Also, if ALL the files are not EXACTLY the same on the two sites, you may screw up some of your files by being on the same torrent at both sites.

Looks like they are one and the same so far, joined the other one, and there is still just one folder, heres hoping. Thanks for the response.
