Depends on your burning program. Nero ($80) has plugins that will let you burn FLACs to audio CD without decoding to WAV first. I think Nero also has a similar SHN plugin but I'm not sure about APE. It will take longer to burn if you don't decode to WAV first though. If you use EAC (free) to burn you will have to decode to WAV first. ONES http://www.dvhardware.net/software/3937 ($25) is the best all purpose burning program for Windows. You can burn audio CDs, data CDs, DVDs. It is a good idea to burn data DVDs for the FLAC, SHN, and APE shows you download so you can reseed if you want and you always have a copy of the original files.

I use Burrrn - just put a CD in, drag the flac files to the burrrn window, and click; nice and straightforward

Nero should be able to burn bin/cue images. I haven't burned one of those in a long time though.

try to use EAC or foobar (as suggested by tubular) i tried it myself and produces great results. backup your raw files on dvds too as .flac .ape .shn etc. for future references. :)

I used Alcohol now and it worked burning the cue file...all the other progs i used didn't incl my nero...said file not supported!

I always burned flac directly to disc with jetAudio...works great but I was wandering if it was qualitywise better to convert to wav first?!

quality wise it makes no difference if you convert to WAV first or burn From FLACs. Your burning prog will convert to WAV on the fly when it burns an audio CD. But you may want to burn CDs at a mid range speed, like 8X, so you get a higher quality burn with less chance of errors.

I always used jetAudio for burning flac...
I've tried Burrrn....was worried at first if it would burn in Disc at once mode...did not show this feature...after burning it sounds like it has burned the files in Disc at once...Thanx for the Info on this prog. :thumbsup
