View more posts per page (feature request)

whenever i come to ttd, i go to pages like:

http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

to see what's new since my last visit.

but i'm frustrated because there's always several pages of new posts to have to scroll through. each page always has a default number of 20 posts listed there.

i can't figure out any way to force it to display more than 20 at a time. ideally i'd like around 100...

I agree with this... it would make each connection to the server last a bit longer (more data per read request), but there would be much less requests...

is there an easy way to add an option to the user CP?

You can change it in Edit Options. The current max is 40 posts per page.

awesome! I never saw the before.. and I looked, too!
now if we could just get a bit higher limit... or would that strain the server if too many people were reading 100 post chunks?

I just upped it to 60 max. We'll see how the server likes that.

I've been at 40 ppp for a long time but now I'll move to 60. At another forum I'm at 100 ppp.
