Megaupload freezes for me....it's frustrating as all hell

I set a 1.13 GB set of files for a trade with a Brazilian guy to upload before school, I leave, come back, and it turns out it froze around noon. What do I do to fix this?

And if it's unfixable, what's the very best program to split MPG files by song? Right now I just have it separated the way the .vob files on the DVDs are. (part 1, part 2, part 3 of full show) I could regulate uploading more with small files while I'm at home.

use winrar or 7-zip (7-zip.org) to create spanning archives 100 or 50MB each

really big files are a drag, 'cause if its corrupt you have to start from the beginning (uploading or downloading)

I tried uploading a bunch of small files, but that froze too. :( Am I doomed to spending all my waking hours uploading stuff instead of setting it overnight?

I say try something other than MEGAUPLOAD.
