I'm looking for this program, but all the websites I go to for download all point to the same server that timesout when tryng to D/L. Anyone have a suggestion, or want to email the zip file that it comes in to me?

I just tried it from versiontracker and got a timeout message also. Perhaps wait a day or two. If you need it now, send me a PM with your email address and I can zip up what I have and send it to you.

I just did a trace on the application download IP and it timed out when it got to epix.net .

I ended up downloading this software from the etree page. It's not the most recent version but it works. Just google xact and teh link for etree will pop up as one of the results. This program is amazing! I can do it all with just this. :wave:

If one has files with the word FLAC in all caps as part of the song titles. xact will shut down after each file is converted. The files will still play but that FLAC freaks it out.

I get tagged file sets with FLAC in all caps and...skip it man......I can work around it so never mind

okay...let me think about it.

some files sets I grab have FLAC in all caps after the dot ...for example Trackone.FLAC rather than trackone.flac and on those Xact shuts done after each track is converted to mp3 (for mobile use).....the tracks get converted but I cannot convert them in batches. The error message I have gotten mentions tags if I recall correctly...a while back Xact would not convert files with the Trackone.FLAC name but one could remove that all caps stuff and it would work fine........I think that about says it, okay?
of course I could be doing something odd.....that has happened many times.

it seems version 2.14 is not quite up to par..I wrote to the developer already. Output files cannot be set as needed and it crashes with batch conversion when going lossy (for mobile I swear for mobile!!!)

I reinstalled 2.13 which works fine except with the issues I mentioned above which are pretty tame IMO.
