What do you mean you can't get the fingerprint or md5 to pass properly? You make those files using Traders Little Helper (well, that's what a lot of people use). And then you open the file up in notepad and copy/paste it into the spot in the Upload page. Or, do you mean you have the fingerprint/md5s and you can't get the files you have to pass the fingerprint/md5 check? :hmm:

my files have an Md5, but every time i try to put it in the "checksums" box it won't happen...
mkwact verifies everything as "ok".

Are you trying to drag and drop the file into the box? That won't work. You need to open the file up in a text editor (like notepad) and then copy/paste the checksums into that box.

got the checksums pasted. that made sense.
the only torrent file i can get to upload, however, is my text file.
thank you soo much for your patience, U2Lynne.
you always seem to get me on track in the forum. :thumbsup

is there a way for me to upload the entire folder???
i read that i should drag and drop the folder into a new folder, but that doesn't work, either...
i'm either very confused or partially braindead.

Asumming you used one of the tools at http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/faq.php?faq=bittorrent#faq_bttools to create your torrent....that's the file you want to attach and upload.

You also have to name the right announce URL in the tools above -- http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/tracker/announce.php -- Are you getting an error when you hit the upload button?

You only upload the torrent file itself, not the folder.

i have 4 files b/c there are 4 songs....
i can't upload each of them for some reason.

You don't upload the songs. You put all four songs in a folder. Then you create a torrent file from that folder. Here's how to do that using Azureus: http://www.zeropaid.com/news/6367/Creating+torrents+with+Azureus

The announce url for this site is: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/tracker/announce.php

got it... when i "attach torrent" through TTD i can't find the actual torrent that azureus created.

got it... when i "attach torrent" through TTD i can't find the actual torrent that azureus created.

Then when you create it, tell it to put it somewhere you remember - just like saving a file. Put it on your desktop.

very true, mamba. i did, however, find it and have it ready for upload, but the upload page says that my announcement address is wrong (even though i copied and pasted from the link above)?????.......
once i get the kinks out i promise i will not bug anybody with too many questions.. :D
thank you guys sooo much!!!

http://www.thetradersden.org/forums...er/announce.php

If you just copied and pasted what Lynne wrote, you don't have the entire thing, you have a few periods running around in there like what I have above.

The actual announcement is:

http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/tracker/announce.php

What might have happened is you added a space before or after the announce url when you copy/pasted. Try to do it again only make sure you don't have a space before or after it.

no... i copied it after going to the link above.

and i checked for spaces. good call, though.

i haven't tried again in a couple of days but i will have something to post in a day two. i really appreciate your help!!!
i may end up coming back to this thread to ask for any more help.
thanks again.

ok... got my thread started, but it shows up as "0 seeders"....
suggestions? i know i have read something about creating a new folder, but can't quite recall the steps.
thanks again.

You can't use the torrent file that you created. You need to download the torrent that is in the thread that you created and start seeding with it.

Once again, thank you Mamba.
I got everything going (so I thought), but it will only download to 99.9%???
:hmm:

It looks like you put the torrent file into the folder. If you were making the torrent of the folder and then said save the torrent into the folder, it's going to screw things up. Perhaps make the torrent of the folder and save the torrent to your desktop.

I am so frustrated!!!!! I am nowhere near illiterate, but this is giving me pure hell!!!!!!! I have saved to desktop. Created new checksums w/ TLH. Downloaded to every possible folder I have. Nothing is working. I am still stuck at 99.9%
I have saved like 9 torrent files. Nothing is going right. I have sooo much that I want to u/l, but I need a step-by-step page it appears...
