What should i set my port at

I am using uTorrent 1.5 what should my port be set at. Also does anyoe use McAfee it always firewalls me . I disable it alll the time any advice thanks in advance, music man

any ports between 6000 and 12000 you should avoid,all the rest should be fine,I set mine for above 45000,as of yet no problems.....

Make sure you're following the directions on www.portforward.com for your model router, etc.

I use McAfee's firewall. You just need to go to the Internet Applications tab, find uTorrent, and set it to "Allow Full Access."

Also, make sure your Windows XP Firewall is OFF. It like to turn itself on. Since you're using McAfee, turning the XP Firewall off will have no harmful effects.
