A thousand apologies if this has been discussed eleswhere, but I can
no longer search this site. Ever since the tracker change, all I get is
a message telling me that searching has been disabled due to high
server loads.

There have also been periods where I cannot get on the site at all.

Can one of the mods explain what is happening??

There's a message on the home page about how the server loads are extremely high at the moment. I've been trying to write a better announce script and I'm going to try it out as soon as I have reliable internet access (I'm having router problems at the moment).

:nono: I ordered Lynne to leave the Tracker and the Server alone today because it's stressful trying to deal with all these issues at once. I promise that she is dilligently working out the issues one by one. It takes an infinite amount of patience and an even greater amount of skill to do the things she does with this place, and sometimes you just have to step back for a 24 hour period and let it be. It might be a chick thing, but chicks like us eventually get 'er done.

Maybe I could help with the announce script....I do have a way with the turn of a phrase....and I can quote from a lot of famous literary sources....... :wave:
