View Full Version : Re-recording to change sampling rate question?

I downloaded a torrent.

After using TLH to decode, I attempted to burn the wav files using Feurio.

Feurio warns me:
"Warning: Audio file doesn't match the CD-format!

An audio CD-player ONLY can play files with the format: "44.1 kHz, stereo, 16 bit"!
But the file: "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\bob dylan 4-12-06 d1 t01.wav" has the format: "48.0 kHz, stereo, 16 bit".

Please consider:
The sampling rate of the file is higher than the sampling rate for audio-CDs. Feurio! must calculate the data "down", so the quality normally will decrease.
This can't be modified - an audio CD-player unfortunately will only play files with a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz. So by the conversion the quality will decrease - it could be a better idea to re-record the file with the right sampling rate of 44.1 kHz (if possible)."

How do I re-record?

How do I re-record?
You can't. Someone else already recorded it. Just let it downconvert for your burned audio disc and don't trade it.
