View Full Version : Filter OCD Uploaders

The Den is the absolute only one of quite a many trade sites where just one or two have decided that he who dies with the most uploads somehow wins something.
Thus nigh each and every visit requires to scroll through pages of reposts from other places of which I for one have never wanted any of them--old music, weak bands, recent reposts from popular sites and or combinations of it all.
Yes, a first world problem to use a worn cliche, but time is the ultimate most precious resource of all--and the one that is ever incurably irreplaceable--so the ability to filter them would be a godsend. As much as we all treasure and respect tapers and uploaders, it is outright depressing to see individuals spend so very much time reposting at what appears to be a clinical level of OCD.
Am not alone in this, so if is a simple or moderately doable piece of code, the resultant efficiencies would be cheered and celebrated.
Again, time is everything and moderators are heroic in their generosity, so most happy to donate to this end.
Thank you for your consideration.

If you want to look into writing some kind of code to do, well, I'm not quite sure *what* you're asking for, then by all means go ahead. I'm sorry that you seem to be complaining about too much of a good thing...

Maybe you just need to block a couple 'offending' users / members of the site?
I will say its annoying when someone downloads a brand new recording and changes things around, then re-uploads it here a couple days later. I get if its an older download but when its not even a week old, leave it alone.... At the same time, once its out there you can't stop someone from meddling with it. (cough s.b. cough)

...clinical level of OCD....
It's a shame you make derogatory comment about people that share more than whatever is your acceptable level. I appreciate all that share here in what ever amount. Sheesh, what a world.

First off I don't know what ODC means? But if anyone has a problem with anything I have been uploading for others to enjoy, just let me know & I can always horde like everyone else.
Happy New Year:)

No, this is about complaining about too many free recordings. I don't know how to continue this discussion.

I can do better than that. I don't know why this discussion ever started.

And by the way, OCD is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

wholly predictable responses....lmao......one of the little ocd boys spewed over forty reposts in under twentyfour hours..... no other site has anywhere near this level of pareantal basement dwellerism ... so be it.. if you deem time is free and electricity is no harm to earth then enjoy scrolling through OCD slop and on your deathbed you can thank the almighty for your repost saviors who filled your life with meaning.........i merely suggested a site enhancement for those who have more to do than than mass music consumerist douchery.... like actually playing music, real music and not two dimensional photographs of music.......

Perhaps just look at the torrent list and be done with it. It would be suck to scroll through pages of torrent comments let alone the other spaces here. Live and let live.

I had a look at your profile...
Bruschi has not made any friends yet
That doesn't surprise me!
Also, you've never seemed to post ANYTHING here, have you?
Maybe start doing that instead of whining.
But with the amount of seeding of what you download, I'd stop throwing around "OCD" like it's an insult that wouldn't apply to you first.
You sure you're in the right place, bud?
