Digitalboots is run by the same guys who run bootcity.

Digitalboots is hosted by bootcity (thanks Hal and Trav!), but run solely by me, and I'm only an inactive mod at bootcity.

bootcity also hosts ryanadamsarchive and crowstown.

What I'd like to see is an RSS search across bootleg torrent sites...

Can't believe no-one's mentioned U2Torrents yet - it's here: http://www.u2torrents.com/ and is a great resource for U2 stuff. I even had the Saturday night Melbourne show downloading while I went to the Sunday night show last year - wish I could get the Sunday show as I was there.

I've gotten some rare Butthole Surfers vids from there. The usage is very low and if you get below a share rate of .50 you can't download more til your ratio comes up... which is hard to do when a torrent that is great, has 7 views in the last 3 months...
anyway... I like the site, it's just taken forever to get anything off it.

google tangerine dream tree torrent - I know it's up on demonoid, but that's pretty much an invite only site and your ratio is shit.

Always lots of rush at dimeadozen, but they enforce a minimum ratio.

You could try searching blogs, such as qualitybootz.

RIP Qualitybootz! Was a great direct download site, but after years of slaving over it, and several incarnations, he's finally calling it quits.

Likely the same story for T.U.B.E., clicking on shows there now just link you to postings of the same show at guitars 101.

RIP Qualitybootz! Was a great direct download site, but after years of slaving over it, and several incarnations, he's finally calling it quits.

HURRAH!

Three Cheers for the demise of Qualityboots ...............

It wasn't a 'great site' at all; it merely hoovered up torrents which people posted here, stripped out anything which would give a hint where they came from, and made it look as though they did the work on them. Then they had the unmitigated gall, the nerve, to ask for DONATIONS!!! FFS.....

GRC
2012-07-03, 06:22 AM
People who post here request in their torrents; "If posting elsewhere, keep the info files intact, don't alter the file set, etc etc" and Qualitybootz went right ahead and ignored all that.

People here ask that those posting elsewhere credit the original taper or uploader - Qualitybootz went right ahead and ignored all that.

Will I miss them? Not a chance.

didn't realize qualityboots was gone... havent really been visiting many sites these days though...

but it looks like guitars101 is reposting tons of bootlegs from there daily. all original files they even with a link to the old qualityboots site. looks like they were originally just leeched from dime though, as a lot of the info files have dime in the end of their lineage or begin with something along the lines of "greetings dime users ..."

I enjoyed qualitybootz. got many a great show from there. they may have edited a text file here or there, but the audio was not altered at all as far as I know. the FFPs on qualitybootz matched the posts of those on torrent sites, and that's what matters to me. in fact, it's proof of the original lineage. often you could get shows that weren't currently seeded on torrent sites. who cares where it originated? pass it around, listen and enjoy...on as many sites as possible.

GRC

I enjoyed qualitybootz ...... they may have edited a text file here or there ........... who cares where it originated?

I care, because they edited the text files in a manner that made it look as though they did the work in generating the torrent, whereas all they did was lift a fileset from here and edit it.

Where uploaders here specifed 'Don't alter the fileset', Qualityboots altered it.

I care where it originated. When it's posted on TTD, it's under my username, and I get the credit. People thank me. Qualityboots removed that, and as I said - asked for DONATIONS to cover their costs! When they didn't do any of the work, apart from shuffling files around......

They have/had no honour.

but you have a hit record! fans are digging it and sharing it for free in flac.

could be worse: could be sold as a bootleg CD, or on an mp3 blog, or streamed on utube @<hidden> 22 swishy kHz making money for g00gle and its advertisers

I didn't know where to post this, but I made a subreddit on Reddit for people who like collecting bootlegs and live recordings. It would mean a lot if some people could come and help get this page off the ground. In the meantime, I'll probably upload some stuff to DIME and include the subreddit's URL in the info file.

Every little helps. Thanks, guys!
