Hi,
I have one large .aiff bootleg file and I'm trying to cut it up into indivdual
songs so I can eventually make them into seperate Flac files. Can Anyone help me?
thanks,
Jeff
go to file>preferences>quality and set it to 44100Hz 16bit
go to file>preferences>spectrograms and set max freq to 22500Hz
hit ok
go to view>set selection format>cdda
now load up your big wav, trim by selecting and using the "delete" key, also there is effects>fade in and effects>fade out
audacity is now set to snap to cdda sectors, so use ctrl+x to cut the first from the beginning, then paste (ctrl+v) into a new window & save as track 1. then go back and get track 2 etc etc. use xAct for pretty much everything else.
