Loss of sound on CD Wave Editor

Hi, as above, any files I open in CD Wave Editor play, but I'm getting no sound. The files are fine and have audio in other applications. Has anyone else experienced this problem / got a fix

Man, the same thing happened to me about a month ago. It was very weird, since as you say I got audio on all other applications. I tried a bunch of things and nothing worked. Finally I changed audio interfaces and the sound returned.

I use (now) a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4, connected to the laptop via USB, and then have headphones hooked into the Scarlett. Previously I was using an Audioengine D1, and had for years with no issues.

Found the issue, went into Sound Settings and the app had been muted by a Windows update. Had a similar issue a couple of days ago with Edge and solved it the same way.
