So for the second time since living here, a F1 tornado came down my street. Landfall tornados are rare here but when they touch down it's almost always in a 25 square km area. Naturally I live at the center of that small area and on Tuesday one hit.

This time they got the power back on in about 16 hours but I was at work when the power went out and have a job where I can't just leave. So the long run UPS (4 hours) and small generator (no ATS) didn't help. When I can afford it, I'm getting a whole house generator with ATS.

The seedbox RAID arrays are about 90% done resyncing. After that I have to chkdsk all the logical drives. I can restore the qBittorrents profile backups and can hopefully restart the torrents without having to check them (which is a 4 day operation).

I have yet to walk around the yard and see what else is damaged. I hope the dead tree in the back didn't come down.

If I was you, I'd be very concerned about a tree you mentioned. For obvious reasons, their condition deteriorate over time, and it may eventually fall, more than likely in the least expected moment.

I'd get rid of it asap.

On the other note - you may get some nice firewood off it! ;)
