no sound on dvds

ive downloaded 2 shows so far both in vob/ifo format. at first i could play them on my computer through windows media player but now theyll play the video but with no sound. if no one can help ill try to burn them to dvds but im not sure if its worth it if theyll just end up being soundless. anyone encounter this before? thanks

WMP may need certain codecs to play them correctly. The better thing to do is get a player made for DVDs like VLC at videolan.org. With that player, open it up and then you can just drag the VIDEO_TS folder into the window and hit play.
