I can't seem to find an answer to this: Once I have downloaded the torrent and the show, do I have to keep the show (and/or the torrent) in the same (download) folder?
I have a laptop that that doesn't have a large HD, so I often move and organize files to an external HD (separate from the original download folder), that is sometimes not connected. I understand that in the case of the external drive not being connected, the files wouldn't likely be available. I also understand that I have to keep the app (uTorrent web or wTorrent) open to share. I hope that is the correct understanding.

Thanks

If you move the show you downloaded and restart the torrent it will download the show again in the old spot. You need to point the torrent software to the moved location. It will scan for completeness in the new spot and begin sharing.

Thanks. There doesn't seem to be a lot of settings on either app, but tht seems pretty basic.
"restart the torrent it will download the show again in the old spot."
Thanks for mentioning that. I had noticed that happening on some shows while I was organizing files.
So the torrent needs to stay in the same location as the music/data?

Yes

OK do one of my torrent apps (uTorrent web or wTorrent) have to open, as well, for someone to get that show?

I got another issue if it's not a problem asking here...i've been seeding various shows for a while, and sometimes my numbers don't add/improve.
For example i'm currently seeding a 1982 ZZ Top show i downloaded 4 months ago, the other day i shared 170mb and nothing, now somebody is downloading it, so in a moment i'll see what happens.
I've lost at least 2gb with this issue.
