Upload Protocol for HD vs. DVD

Hi there,
I have several HD shows I'd like to upload, but they are direct captures and are not formatted as a DVD. When I look at the resource offered in the HD upload page, it directs me to the DVD torrent creation policy.
Do all video uploads have to be in DVD format?
