When you say the files are locked, do you mean "Read-only"?

If so, then to change them, in expolorer, right click the file, and at the bottom in "Attributes", uncheck the "Read-only" box, click on apply and then ok. Repeat for other files.

Not sure how else they would be "locked".

Well, I'm not sure exactly what is up, but it's like for some reason, her computer is unwilling to share the files. She is seen as a seed by the tracker, but not by anyone connected to the torrent. She can download and share other files from her computer, but these are ones that she took from a CDR herself and then created a torrent from. It's like she might have done something to the files when she converted to flac that somehow won't let her share them? I really don't know. I tried everything I could think of, but I'm not that familiar with Win XP and so I'm not sure of some of the little things that could have gone wrong during her process.

it's working fine, it's just that 80% of the leechers are firewalled. that's going to be painfully slow.
