Hi
I need some help. I think I have uploaded my torrent. I was expecting that I would see it on the new torrents list, then I would click on that torrent to download it and then start seeding. But I don't see it on the audio torrent list.

Should I see the torrent that I uploaded on the torrent list? Then I download that torrent and start seeding? But I do not see the torrent that I uploaded on the torrent list.

I uploaded this torrent
UFO 1978-10-13 Chicago (Analog4011 Master flac)

How do I start seeding this torrent?

The MSG upload was a couple years back. Somehow I successfully got that one uploaded and seeded. But this UFO show is recent. I uploaded the torrent yesterday, but now I am uncertain how I start seeding. Is there a way to see if that UFO torrent successfully uploaded? If it did, should it show up on the torrent list?

Are these the correct steps to follow for upload and seeding?

Select upload audio torrent
fill out the information
down at the bottom - select Manage Attachments
select the torrent file
click upload
close that window
click submit new thread

Then what is the next step after submit new thread? Should the torrent show up on the TTD torrent list? I should then download that torrent and start seeding?

Yeah, you have to download the torrent file from your show's page.

The problem is I don't see my torrent on the torrent list. So how do I download my torrent to start seeding?

Well why don't you just upload it again? Jesus.

Yes, I did try it a second time (with a slightly different name). Same results. It seems that the torrent upload went fine. Then I hit submit new thread. Then I look for the torrent on the new torrent list, but it is not there. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

They did get uploaded to the tracker, however something must have gone wrong when you submitted the thread. After you submitted the thread, what did you see? It should take you to the thread you submitted - is that happening?

U2Lynne - thank you for the feedback. Good to know that the torrents were successfully uploaded!

I may have to try it again and pay extra attention when I try to submit the thread. Or is there anyway that I can link to the most recent torrent that did upload?

The only way to link to an uploaded torrent is through the thread. So, you need to see if you are getting errors when you upload the thread.

I tried it again. Changed the name of the torrent file again slightly. I uploaded the torrent file (through manage attachments button). Then I hit the button for submit new thread. After hitting that button, I was returned to the upload audio torrent screen.

I got the message -- The fingerprints provided are not shntool st5s or flac fingerprints

I used Traders Little Helper to create an .md5 file and an ffp file. But I will go back and create an st5 file and try again.

I got it to work. I upgraded to the latest version of TLH to make the checksum files. I think the problem was I was pasting in the md5 finger prints and I should have pasted in the st5 fingerprints. Anyway, I think it is working now.

Is there a way I can put a better title to the torrent? Right now it simply is UFO 1978-10-13 (16 bit). Can I make that better descriptive? Like include Chicago IL and the fact that it is an upgrade?

Fill in what you want in the fourth box down from the top on the upload form on a new upload.

For the one you just posted, hit "Edit" and edit the line that says "Title", just add venue and/or city info after the date.

Sure, hit the "edit" button at the bottom of your first post in the thread.

If you did ffp's, you can use those instead of the st5.

One more question:

If I want to include samples of a couple tracks, do I use the manage attachment to attach those samples? Or do you attach samples after the thread is submitted?

Add samples in another post after you submit the show.

And thanks for taking the time to make and offer samples!

OK. Yes, I see it. I need to use the Go Advanced option on the reply message and then I have the ability to attach an mp3 sample. Thanks!
