I have created a couple of songs on garage band but for unknown reasons, I need to export and play them at a high volume even to get optimum volume. Anyone here who knows a way around?

I don't know this software per se but it sounds like your volume levels within the mix, the settings for individual instruments is balanced but the average is too low. the faders in most programs and physical desks should be about 70% of the way up.

hope this helps

As a reasonable garage band you set all knobs to 10!
I guess you´re problem then other nature ...

Our bass player, for example, has changed the knobs of all the controls he has to use somewhere, instead of 0-10, now 0-11 !!

The reason why the songs on Garageband have low volume is that there is a setting in the app's 'Preferences,' within the 'Advanced' tab. The tracks are so low as you have the “Auto-Normalize” function turned on. Just turn it off and you are good to go.

As I am writing this from my Windows pc, I am trying to find a way to run Garageband on my machine. I know the app is not officially available for windows. Are there any other ways to run it?

Garageband is not officially available for windows and garageband is macOs application. But there are some windows pc emulators by which you can run garageband app without any problem. Here is the guide (https://thegaragebandpc.com/)on that. Cheers!
