I just posted my very first torrent and it was successful. However a message came up stating I need to download my own torrent. When I try this I see peers 3(7) but I am not seeing download activity.

What am I doing wrong?

After you create a .torrent file and send the torrent up, you need to then grab it from the tracker as if you are downloading, but rather than download in your usual place, select the folder that you created the torrent in. This way it will "check" the existing file and start the upload to others. It's easier to do than it is to explain. Hope this helps you.

It doesn't seem to be working. I have it pointed to the original directory and I have nothing going on...

Did you download the torrent from here and replace/overwrite your original torrent file??

I finally figured it out. For some reason my utorrent program kept redirecting my download. I had to uninstall utorrent and re-install it. At that point it allowed me to point at the correct directory.

switch to Qbittorrent and all those problems will go away

utorrent comes with a crypto miner pre installed so unless u want to mine BTC for someone

i would remove it and do a no coin scan on your pc

Qbittorent is the teets ( ) ( )
