Hi Everyone. I greatly appreciate any help or advice anyone can gove me on my firewalled issue.

Im running windows 10 and Deluge 1.3.15 through a VPN and a BT smart hub and TTD is still saying i'm firewalled.

I was running NordVPN and have discovered they don't offer any forwarding of ports. So I have now started a trial of AirVPN who do offer port forwarding. I have forwarded my port at air VPN and turned off windows firewall in case this was causing my problem. canyouseeme.org says It can see me fine. Deluge is reporting the connection open. I have tried pausing the download, waiting and resuming as suggested in the FAQ to see if that clears it and it hasn't. I have also triple checked my port in the peer list is the one i'm using and forwarding and they all match up.

After all this my status is still firewalled on TTD.

If anybody can see anything I've missed or give me any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

OK, I think I've sorted it. I've downloaded an old version of Bittorrent and that seems to have solved the problem. Hopefully I can get some upload now.

I'm having this issue also for the last several days. Checked my firewall in Norton AV -BT allowed. Set up a custom range 6881-6889 on my Motorola NVG510 router. Not working. :(

Hello. I've just noticed that I'm suddenly firewalled, too, but unfortunately a lot of the conversation up there ^ is Greek to me. Could anyone explain in relatively non-tech terms how I can fix this?

There's some help in the FAQ, but it's pretty outdated:
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/faq.php?faq=bittorrent#faq_firewall

The portforward site referenced in the FAQ seems up to date, though.

I wouldn't worry about being firewalled, but if you are then you need to follow these steps.

1. Make sure the PC that is doing the torrenting has a STATIC IP on your LOCAL network. If you don't give the PC a static IP address then eventually you will become firewalled again.

You can either do it through your operating system (eg. Windows 7,10) or even better you can log into your modem/router and have it assign a specific IP address to your PC.

Read this page to get instructions on how to give yourself a static IP address.
https://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

Note: Don't call your ISP and ask for a static IP address.

2. Open your Torrent application and find out what "port number" it's running on. You'll need to look in the settings.

3. Find out the model number of your modem/router. Go to the following page and select it. There will be instructions there.
https://portforward.com/router.htm

Unfortunately, there's no one-size-fits-all guide on how to do this. If you need any help just post back.

Thanks to you both for the info. Weirdly, it seems to have cleared up on its own, but at least now I've got something to refer to if it comes back.
