Why are torrents pulled with no explanation?

I love this site overall, but I don't get why sometimes torrents are pulled and the threads closed for comments without any information given.

This is the most recent one I noticed, a Mark Knopfler recording:

Lol, I started that thread as well! It seemed like I had asked this question before and gotten no good explanation. There wasn't any good reason for the practice of pulling a torrent without explanation in that thread either.

The no Silver CD to CDR seems like a pretty ridiculous rule to be honest; but if that is the reason the Knopfler torrent was pulled, why wasn't the explanation given by whomever pulled it? Wouldn't take long to type that in there when killing it.

Perhaps the Mod responsible for closing the thread simply forgot to add their explanation?

I'm not upset or mad about this but since I saw the thread I'll add that I would like to see an explanation each time.

we usually note the reason why, unless the OP has requested the pull to fix his own torrnent / try again. Even then, I usually make a note

the reasons a direct rip are preferred are pretty widely spelled out in many places, here and elsewhere on the 'net
