Hey everyone,

I just started using TD and I'm trying to upload a blu ray video. I created the file in Vuze with no issues, uploaded with no issues. But when I tried to download my own torrent as instructed, Vuze gave me the message of "Media has already been added as..."

The torrent tracker is right, I do believe, it's private, not de-centralized, etc. So then I removed the "seed" one and that didn't help. Anyone know what the root is? This is the torrent in case that's helpful http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=129981

Thanks...

Once you'd created the torrent file, before uploading it here, I expect you opened it with Vuze to check that it goes to 'seeding' status. Then, having deleted it from Vuze, you would have created the torrent thread, added that torrent file as an attachment, and created the thread.

Then you download the torrent file from the thread, and open it with Vuze. All Vuze is saying is that you've opened a torrent with that name already. Ignore it, and it still checks the files and proceeds to seeding status.

Not quite, I don't think. When I created the torrent, I opened it for seeding. I uploaded it to TD. The trackers were bad, as expected. I downloaded the new one and it gave me the error message I described earlier. Is there something that I missed in between? I'm planning on doing a new one with Utorrent which I generally prefer.

When I created the torrent, I opened it for seeding. I uploaded it to TD.

Do this in reverse. Upload it to TD, download the torrent from the thread you create, THEN open it for seeding

The trackers were bad, as expected.

I have no idea what you mean by this

I downloaded the new one and it gave me the error message I described earlier. Is there something that I missed in between?

You have to delete the one that you opened BEFORE uploading and opening the new one

I'm planning on doing a new one with Utorrent which I generally prefer.

That's a shame, because you're 90% there.... just delete the torrent from Vuze, delete any torrent files that you have, and download the one from the thread, then open that.

Thanks. Nice to be appreciated!

Mods have put the torrent on hold, though - possibly for another reason

yes because I did the checksum wrong. This part is new to me. This was never required on the private site where we used to house these so I jacked it up.

I updated it and replied to the mod. If you have a second, I would appreciate if you could look and see if that appears to be correct. Hopefully they will reopen the torrent even though I didn't update the actual file (for obvious reason).
