Moving files ie from windows ntfs to linux ext4 fs is best done via a "manual" copy, verification, then deletion of the original files as the OS "move" operation can truncate files requiring additional downloading to restore. I lost about 3 GB out of a BR video this way recently ....

Hi
Honestly, the concept of a "Home" "or personal user" folder on the internal hdd, I think is a flawed concept. Your better off saving what's important to you on an external USB hdd (or a NAS box).

Having decided which OS you want to use, or if you use Windows and Linux, then make an informed decision, based on intelligent, quality research - which file system your saving to and why.

If you use Linux at home and Windows at work and need access to data on your ext hdd, NTFS makes a good choice as Linux has excellent NTFS tools.

hope this helps
