I have a sinatra documentary that I want to burn to dvd. Its in mkv format and 85 sinatrahead father in law doesn't have a computer and wants it on dvd so he can play it on his tv. What is the simplest and/or cheapest way to do this. Any great fool proof software I need? I have adobe premiere elements but never have used it or learned about it. Any advice would be appreciated.:headbang:

I've used a program called DVD Flick to make video DVD's of files.

I use Nero as it does everything I want.

dvd flick does a good job. Does Dad-In_law have a Blu-Ray player? If so you can burn a dvd5 data disc of mkv's, avi's, xvids, mp4's. The BR player will recognize and playback those files without having to degrade them to non HD.

Like dvd flick, hate the long time to convert it.

I like Freemake video converter, its free and takes less time

Note: most dvd players will also navigate and play a disk consisting of video and/or audio files even in mixed formats ;)
