I have Cox Digital Cable and want to upgrade to a better video card.
What kind of cards will capture in the best quality?
What formats do they capture in? (mpeg/avi/miniDV/etc.)
How do I find out what quality aud/video signal I'm getting from the digital cable box?

Any help would be appreciated:help:

typically your video card doesn't "capture" per se...it acts as an I/O device, and then you'd use a program to capture with...

off the top of my head, Plextor has some boxes that take a coax input, and run usb or firewire to your comp... http://www.plextor.com/english/products/product_dvc.html

i'm sure there are more...hopefully someone with "working knowlege" of these devices can make a few suggestions
