Can you reduce the size of flac files? There are some shows that I don't want to burn to cd. Thanks

No, you can't reduce the size of FLAC files by very much.

A FLAC file is already highly compressed so there's no benefit to zipping them up.

buy a large external Harddrive and store 'em there

I may do that. I will still burn quality shows to disc.

If I still did that, I'd need to build a new room to house them! You're going to need to buy more shelves alongside that harddrive!

Something to consider (although I still haven't got this together and there's masters involved with me!) - hard drives DO fail (but so do burned discs!) and drives are relatively cheap. Buy two of them, and backup the files to BOTH drives. Then, take one and store it away from the other one - like at someone else's house, a safety deposit box, wherever. That way, if something really bad happens, you'll still have your files!
