I think it is possible with k3b, I've installed cdrecord, but I still can't get blu ray discs to burn right in Ubuntu 14.04. I've asked in Ubuntu forums as well to no avail.

Thanks jabulon, but I've already followed those instructions to no avail. Maybe I am adding the folder incorrectly? I've got a BDMV folder with four folder within it and two files outside any folder, and a CERTIFICATE folder as well. When writing the disc I simply added the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder as a whole. Do I need to instead only use the subfolders from BDMV? Should I make the whole thing an .iso first?

I'm not really sure because I don't have a blu-ray burner myself, but I would try to make an ISO (of the BDMV and Certificate folder) and burn that with K3B.

What are these two files outside any folder you mention, are they inside the BDMV folder?

I've got ImgBurn running in Wine now, seems to be working, but I've gotta go. Will report back later.

ImgBurn successfully created the .iso, but I couldn't get it to work in K3b. As there are numerous types of projects in K3b I went with "Burn Image" but it did not automatically recognize the image. Message said : Image does not seem sutiable for burning. I changed Detection mode from Auto to "Plain data" and tried to brun, but ti said there was no medium present, (there is, and it is detected otherwise).

ImgBurn ought to work, however since I am using Ubuntu/Wine my external BD drive is not detected. I've done this on Windows no problem, maybe it's time I quit being so stubborn and switch computers . . .
