I am considering transferring my vinyl to my PC. It is not feasible to have my PC attached to my music system as they are on different floors. I do most of my listening via a Wi-Fi music system w the tracks stored on an external hard drive. It seems that a USB turntable might be the best solution. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on decent and reliable USB turntables ?
Thanks

another option that my brother uses is a stand-alone cd burner with analog (and digital) inputs with a built in hard drive. With that he can convert tapes and phono etc. The unit isn't too large so its always connected to his stereo
he captures the LP/tape, checks the track splits on the hard drive and then either exports the files or burns them right away
(I'd have to ask him the make and model of it)

most USB turntables are shite...but if quality isn't as important as ease-of-use, then it may be an option for ya
imo, better to get a decent turntable then record to digital using another method...as with all things, budget dictates recommendations
