Hello,

Running transmission here for years, 24/7.

I noticed that the tracker of TTD returns this:

d14:failure reason24:Invalid info_hash (0 - )e
when I surf to the announce url. TTD torrents are stalled, do not get connections, etc.

Torrents from other trackers do work!
What could be wrong?

we switched servers a coupla weeks ago, maybe that has something to do with it...are these torrents that you've had seeding for a while, or recent d/ls? try re-d/ling the .torrent file for one of the shows and see if that fixes the problem

this isn't my area of expertise, i'm sure one of the other mods with knowledge of this side of things will be along today at some point to help ya out

older versions of Transmission are banned by the tracker

I built transmission 2.71 from source and re-downloaded the torrents without effect.

I just started a torrent from here in Transmission 2.71 (13538) just fine. I would guess the issue is something else for you.

Sorry, I'm not on a mac, I'm on x86_64 Fedora Linux.
I did not find any firewall related issues, except for some icmpv6 type 2 packets being dropped because the rate was over 1/s.
It's just he tracker of TTD, other trackers work as designed.

try Qbittorrent and see if that helps... sometimes its just the client you're using or the ports you have configured. good luck

Sorry, I assumed you must be using a Mac if you're using Transmission.

Maybe try this

It's a transmission bug related to bind-address-ipv6.

If you edit transmission's settings.json and put an ipv6 for bind-address-ipv6 then the tcpv4 (!) connections to trackers stop working.

nice troubleshooting.

ipv6 is unnecessary, at this point, imo, unless you are building out a routing backbone or similar.

Even though the IANA has "run out" of v4 addr, its just because thousands of ISPs have purchased the blocks. They are still able to hand them out with plenty in reserve from what they have purchased over the years and us end users won't have any problems getting a v4 addr for years.
