This is a little tool to make it easy to get MPEG- information from MPEG 1/2/3 video and audio files. MPEG Info is built upon binaries from mpgtx. mpgtx is a command line MPEG audio/video/system file toolbox. mpgtx is as MPEG Info released under the GPL license.

Just drop the MPEG file into MPEG Info X. Read, print or save the output. The only problem right now seams to be a bug in "Estimated Duration" for MPEG2 files.

Version history

16/07/2002 : Version 0.2 is out. In this version drag-and-drop is implemented. Usefull helpfile was added and this version is localized in german language now. Also Print and SaveAs functionally was added.

12/01/2001 : Beta version 0.1b is out. Its not much but it is a start. Until next version drag-and-drop will be implemented.
